Huge record collections are not easy to organize. If you have many music files, you prefer to maintain them more or less sorted. Otherwise it becomes not easy to know what is inside those audio folders. mp3Tag Pro is a smart MP3 tag tool with useful capabilities and simple interface. It can quickly populate missing MP3 tags (title, artist, album, year, genre, comments) taking parts of filenames and directory names. If sound file information is not present at all (for example, your files have filenames like track01.mp3 and no ID3 tags), MP3 tag editor can request audio tags from internet services, like Amazon and FreeDB. You can export existing MP3 tags for a backup and import audio tags from a database using a TSV file. MP3 tag processor will also let you automatically sort your songs by generating new directories and placing audio files into them by the pattern that you specify. Imagine that you have a unclear structure of subdirectories in your folder for records. Provided the songs are accurately tagged, you can make a new structure in just a couple of clicks and order thousands of files at once. Using info from audio tags, mp3Tag Pro will produce directories for every genre, artist, album, and so on, depending on your choice. Records will be moved into the corresponding directories. The program can also provide lyrics and covers for any selected group of music files. The downloaded lyrics and album art can be saved in audio tags inside the audio files, or as separate files. MP3 Tag Editor Pro works with ID3 tags in MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC, APE, WV, M4A, AAC, MPC files. All sound files are edited in the same way and don't need to be separated. You may process all popular formats at once. What's new in this version: Version 8.1 fixes issues with WMA tags, importing tags from text files, file order in the generate tags window.

It helps you find the tags for any MP3 and correct wrong ones. You can use it to locate album covers and lyrics, which you can add to the tags also. Let's you add them manually also if you wish. You can work on all the MP3s you pick at the same time if you wish. Changes the numbering of the tracks, renames the MP3 per your specs. You can search various databases for the album info or create your own custom tags. I can't think of anything tag related this program can't do and fairly easy. ConsThe if purchased the older versions(v7 and before)required you purchase the next full upgrade version (i.e. v5 to v6, v6 to v7) (though they did change this with v8, you can now purchase a lifetime license for it so all newer versions, even full number updates are included) Also, not really a con of the program as much as the MP3's themselves at times don't have the info to get the right tags. When this occurs, you will have to learn how to use the program at a much deeper level to fix them. This can be time consuming. SummaryProbably the best tag program out there. Easy to use.
